Beyond your cool logo, good branding can significantly increase the value of your business and help you get clients a bit easier. Your brand is able to represent the sum of people's perception through:

Good customer service.

Reputation.

Advertising.

When these 3 components work well together, you tend to have a really strong brand which improves your recognition as well as trust.

Are you repurposing your content?

If you're getting started on your next set of content ideas - REDUCE, REUSE AND RECYCLE.

Each month you sit down and think up content. This takes a huge amount of time and effort and is kind of a waste if just used once and never again – and we’re talking captions (the text bit) and images here. So what’s the best way to do this?

The content that you’re creating on your posts – reuse this for your e-marketing, your blog, plan a live on what you’re writing about.

If you posted about a handy guide of 10 tips for instance and your viewers loved it, break this down into 10 smaller posts over time.

Use your images for the various social media platforms you’re on, and don’t be scared to post them again in the future – few people will remember exactly which images you’ve used in the past.

Think about how best you can repurpose your content so that you're maximizing all the hard hours you're putting in!

Social media is one of the cheapest and most measurable forms of marketing available - so which do you invest in and which are best for your business?

Facebook - If your goal is awareness, web traffic and online conversions then this one is for you...when used correctly of course. Think Facebook ads...

Facebook messenger - Although part of Facebook, messenger has specific ad campaigns which are a great option if lead generation is your focus.

Instagram - Close behind Facebook, (and owned by Facebook) Instagram has access to the same advertising base but in addition, has its own set of organic benefits.

These are my top 3, and of course, there are more that work for different types of businesses. Take time and research which is best for yours.

Are you feeling shy about selling on social media?

If you’re a business on social media, you’re here to sell otherwise you wouldn’t be a business!

Sure, social media is just that...social, but you can promote your business online in a fun, educational way by making it interesting and educational.

When mentioning your offers - show viewers the benefits. Instead of just selling your offer, tell people why they need your product/service. What are their pain points? How are you able to fix this?

Give them a clear call to action on how they can purchase. Don't waste this opportunity. You've given them a problem and your solution. Now explain to them how they can purchase.

Keep it entertaining and punchy so that you hold their attention. Add in a bit of humour and keep it light so that your offering will stand out from the rest. 

People are following you because they are interested in your offering so don’t beat around the bush when it comes to pushing the reason your business is on social...

Planning and scheduling content.

Is the best time to post not convenient for you? You've looked through your insights, you've put together your content for the month...there's only one thing left to do - schedule them posts! Posting on the fly may seem like a quick and easy task but when you have a business to run, stories to post, and extra last-minute content to put together, you'll want to make sure you've scheduled your pre-planned posts.  

Now going back to the planning stage...start with having a basic plan in place as to what you want to write about on a weekly basis. You may want to focus on something inspirational, talk about your product/service and post something educational. Once you have these set content pillars in place you'll quickly see that coming up with content becomes easier and easier and you can even leave a few gaps for 'as and when' ideas/posts come about...almost as though these would be bonus posts!
